As a board officer and guest speaker, Melissa supported entrepreneurial women to launch micro-businesses with Empowered Women International, a subsidiary of LEDC.
LPF
As a board officer and Chair of the 10th Anniversary for Leveling the Playing Field, Melissa raised awareness, funds, and expanded impact to ensure sports gear reaches underserved communities so every child has the chance to play.

Melissa is part of Leadership Greater Washington's Class of 2019 "Raising the Bar." She was the Class Connector for five years, chaired class reunions, and serves on the Recruiting Committee. LGW builds genuine connections for leaders in the DMV.

Bellringer
Since its inauguration three years ago, Melissa has been an enthusiastic participant in Georgetown's Annual Bellringer bike ride, raising over $17,000 to support critical efforts in eradicating cancer.
